2019 Blend

Well balanced dry table wine. Stainless steel fermentation. Sur lie aged 6 months.

Blend: 29% Viognier, 39% Chardonnay, and 32% Petit Manseng

Vineyard: Upper Shirley, Carter's Mountain, Batesville

2019 Chardonnay

This bottling of Chardonnay is the first under the JBW label. Both vineyards are above 800’ in elevation with southern exposures and 20+ year old vines. The wine was fermented and aged in oak with diverse yeast strains and levels of malolactic completion. The result is a lush wine loaded with ripe chardonnay characters like pear and apple but retaining balanced acidity to pair with food. 30% new French oak was used to assure longevity and strength of palate. Age 5-8 years.

2022 Sauvignon Blanc

Grown on clay at 800’ in elevation. A 4th leaf expression of the grape; balanced between fruit and vegetal. Stainless steel fermented cold for freshness and bottled within 4 months. Serve cold and pair with food for the full experience.

2020 Rosé

Fresh fruit and a delicate palate compose this dry blended rose. Pair broadly.

Blend: 50% Cabernet Franc, 38% Merlot, 12% Malbec

2021 Cabernet Franc

A bright fruit driven varietal wine. The vines were in their 4th leaf and grown on a Nason Tatum Soil series. 10 months neutral barrel aged.

2017 “F8”

F8 translates as 'Fate' or as the 'field 8' designation for where it was grown. Traditional French production methods, 19 months aging in a blend of French, Minnesota, and neutral barrels. Bottle aged 3 years. Drink now with fat and red protein, or age as long as you like...

Blend: 60% Tannat, 40% Petit Verdot

2017 Tannat

This wine was grown at Honah Lee Vineyard in Orange County, Virginia at 800' in elevation. 100% varietal and fully extracted in fermentation for 5 weeks. The wine was aged in both neutral and new barrels for 20 months and included 15% Minnesota oak. This Tannat was bottle aged for 4 years.

2021 Albariño

Dense aromatics and a full palatte of tropical and citrus fruit with tones of peach pit and resin. This wine needs food. Cream and herbs, white meats and sauce. 6 months aging in neutral barrels. Drink now or hold 2-5 years

Albarino

2017 Cabernet Franc

A small lot extraction directed at preserving fruit and creating a solid tannin palate. An expression of Cab Franc showing the tension achievable in the northern part of Virginia. 10 months Neutral oak age. Bottle aged 4 years.

Black Plum, Anise, Graphite. Barrel aged 16 months in French and Minnesota oak.
